4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at Big Billís epic stout tasting. Poured a dark cocoa brown with a nice tan head and great lacing. Nose had serious loads of vanilla and whiskey barrel. Taste was light on butterscotch, heavy on rich malts and milk chocolate. As it warmed, the vanilla and sweet bourbon really came out. Finished sweet. Thick and creamy mouthfeel with decent carbonation. Pretty flavorful and a nice brew for sure. Would like to try again as a stand-alone (versus after 20 or so other big BA stouts).

Thanks to Amtran87 for sharing this. Poured into my snifter out of a bottle in a paper bag. Didnít know what it was. Pours a jet black. Smells of barrel aging of some sort, whiskey? One of the best tasting stouts ive ever had. Rich, smokey and well balanced.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle had copper colored wax from the most recent release and it was wonderful. Pours black with smells of bourbon, chocolate, and smoke. Very viscous and tastes silky on the palate. Amazing blend of beers and the balance of all the flavors is EXCELLENT.

Bomber poured a translucent dark brown nearly black with a lingering ring of brown foam. Aromas of dark chocolate, oak, vanilla and roastiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooith. Flavors of oak, dark chocolate, roastines and light licorice with a smooth lingering chocolate finish.

One of the final bottles opened at BIllís tasting, and it was one of the best. 2012 bomber. Pour was thick black with thin creamy tan head, aroma was nice big bourbon and vanilla notes, nice dark fruits and sweet chocolate, espresso also came through with a slight bitter earth. Taste was awesome, big and bold but not unbalanced, nice dark fruits and dark chocolate, mixed into some toffee, caramel, mix of espresso, vanilla and bourbon was sweet but bittering, finishing dry. Nice stuff.

Bold nose and Great flavors but a light body and too much carbonation keeps this one from being stellar.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle at Churchills. Poured a pitch black body with wery tiny beige head and sporadic lacing if any. Aromas of the purest cocoa, rich bourbon(jack daniels barrels), vanilla bean, hefty amount of toasted coconut, and caramel. Taste reminds me so much of bourbon angels and older visc. Notes of oak, chocolate, whiskey, sweet caramel, roasted malts from the Serpents in it, black cherry even when it warms up a bit. Soft as silk mouthfeel. Warming and delicious. Thanks Tony.
