2012 bottle shared by cptnspeed1...thanks Brad! - Pours black with a dark brown head. Nose is whiskey, milk chocolate, pretty sharp with light fruitiness. Taste is molasses, dark chocolate, and a mellow booziness. Butterscotch. Smooth, with nice carbonation. Decent, but the angles are too sharp in this one for me.

Bottle, 2012 vintage. Joan Jett black pour with a chocolate head. Enticing bourbon, vanilla, and oak aromas. Nice lacing, good carbonation, and a bountiful body. In fact I think I just came up with a new rating system for body. Iím going to start thinking about in terms of the voluptuousness of a beautiful woman. So for example this would be Sofia Vergara or 8 out of 10. Ok back to the business, this is one hell of a beer. Booze, sweet caramel, cacao, vanilla, and oaky notes with a slightly bitter roasted finish. Itís still pretty hot and a year or two of aging might be the way to go with this beast.

Bottle shared at Palate Rapist tasting. 10í vintage. This was definitely infected but I really enjoyed it. It was a nice twist to the night. Had the chocolate malt happening with the sour funk I enjoy.

Bottle at Big Billís epic stout tasting. Poured a dark cocoa brown with a nice tan head and great lacing. Nose had serious loads of vanilla and whiskey barrel. Taste was light on butterscotch, heavy on rich malts and milk chocolate. As it warmed, the vanilla and sweet bourbon really came out. Finished sweet. Thick and creamy mouthfeel with decent carbonation. Pretty flavorful and a nice brew for sure. Would like to try again as a stand-alone (versus after 20 or so other big BA stouts).

Thanks to Amtran87 for sharing this. Poured into my snifter out of a bottle in a paper bag. Didnít know what it was. Pours a jet black. Smells of barrel aging of some sort, whiskey? One of the best tasting stouts ive ever had. Rich, smokey and well balanced.

Thanks Amtran87! Bottle had copper colored wax from the most recent release and it was wonderful. Pours black with smells of bourbon, chocolate, and smoke. Very viscous and tastes silky on the palate. Amazing blend of beers and the balance of all the flavors is EXCELLENT.

Bottle with friends. 2012 vintage. Deep brown appearance with a brown head. Whiskey, dark caramel, toffee, vanilla, oaky aroma. Rich dark chocolate, thick caramel, thick toffee, oak, vanilla, woody flavor. This baby was fantastic and one of my favorites during an epic tasting!

Bomber poured a translucent dark brown nearly black with a lingering ring of brown foam. Aromas of dark chocolate, oak, vanilla and roastiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooith. Flavors of oak, dark chocolate, roastines and light licorice with a smooth lingering chocolate finish.

One of the final bottles opened at BIllís tasting, and it was one of the best. 2012 bomber. Pour was thick black with thin creamy tan head, aroma was nice big bourbon and vanilla notes, nice dark fruits and sweet chocolate, espresso also came through with a slight bitter earth. Taste was awesome, big and bold but not unbalanced, nice dark fruits and dark chocolate, mixed into some toffee, caramel, mix of espresso, vanilla and bourbon was sweet but bittering, finishing dry. Nice stuff.
