on tap at klub malych pivovaru. a real delight after the trudge through the snow to the beer klub and an ungraceful tumble on the icy footpath directly outside. asphalt black with faint purple around the rim; modest cream-coloured head which remained modest rather than dying; big aroma of stewed plum, caramel, whipped cocoa cream; very flavoursome - brandy butter, gold bricks, neapolitan ice cream. excellent winter brew

I was lucky to catch the very last bottle of this one at Pivní Galerie in Prague. Black colour, tiny, almost invisible head. Complex aroma with hints of chocolate, roast malt, raisins and prunes. Full-bodied with a touch of warming alcohol in the finish. Chocolatey flavours are present all the time, also hints of caramel, toffee, roasted malt and raisins. Complex flavour - a fascinating brew to drink and enjoy in small sips.
