1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle at Tony/Jim BA Birthday Extravaganza 2013 (Western Springs, IL). Pours a gently hazed amber red hue, a bit sickly with bigger cakey tannish head. Stays as a big layer, laces ok, as the bottle ends up a slow gusher. Aromas present some really odd stuff offering earthy hops, wet tannic wood, rotting vegetables, bread and wet grain. Some rubber, funkiness, and more odd elements at play. Wow. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, offering an odd bitterness, earthy undertones with soil, more rotting vegetables, plastic, touches of rubber hit the palate. Middle shows a touch of the maltbill, but not in a good way. Touches of weird plastic and medicinal band-aid elements at play. Backend and finish can’t get here soon enough as more gentle fruit, rotten and slightly tart hit as the backend and finish are a touch more enjoyable. Some bread, dry earth, touches of tartness. I would not volunteer drinking this again.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pours a deep amber with a thick tan head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a sour red fruit note with a bit of plastic and musty/earthy grains. Flavor has lots of red fruits up front that seem a bit off and are quite sour.

Bottle. Took about 15 minutes to get the plastic wax shit off, wasn’t worth the effort. A horrible beer.

0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Amber pour. Rotten fruit, burned hair, melted rubber hoses, dirty socks. I am stunned at the sheer dastardly flavors that these guys are able to get in their beers. HOLY SHIT.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle #46 pours with a dark murky amber body supporting a tall billowing tan head foam ball. The aroma is earthy, tart and rubbery band-aid. The taste has some tartness as well as a soured to spoiled mango that’s lightly covered with molasses. Hmm. Not sure what to make of this. It isn’t working for me at all.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Thanks, Andy. Amber pour with a huge khaki head. Nose is super metallic. Lots of applesauce, pear, and spices. Hot dog water, chlorine, green apple, plastic, and yeast. The flavor is not enjoyable either. Metal, plastic, chlorine, and hot dog water. Applesauce, pear, and sweet bread. Sour lemon and green apple skin.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Lots of floaters. Green apple aroma and flavor. Also some band-aid aroma. Spicy flavor, sweet and sour--with a stronger, probably cloyingly sweet finish/aftertaste. Wierd bitterness.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Light brown, cloudy, beige head. Aroma of grainy and bready malt with light caramel, light sourness. Flavor is toffee-sweet followed by a sourness and acidity, with a leathery oxidative note.
