Pours a pale lifeless yellow with practically no head. Aroma of apples, and flavor is the same. Needs more carbonation to liven it up a little. Not impressed.

porterhouse (1581) - Boothbay, Maine, USA - FEB 1, 2008
(Bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/portland/ target=blank>Downeast Beverage Co.) Pours clear very pale pee yellow with a short-lasting bit of whitish fizzy head. Aroma of light apple, maybe a hint of sour yeastiness. Mouthfeel light, fairly smooth, a touch prickly. Actually some light, broken rings of lacing. Flavor is apple with some breadiness. Mostly sweet but some light sour yeasty overtones. OK stuff for a "macro" cider.

Made in Vermont but brewed in Mass? Pretty clear. Aroma is red apples, a bit of a perfume accented notes, and floral. Taste is pretty watery, the light perfume accents are still there, light red apple. Pretty bland.

Bottle. Pours translucent yellow, head is only traces of white. Aroma is cider, malt. Flavor is the same, watery and stale.

From bottle : Pours very light, almost completly clear, like dirty water, with no head. Tons of carbonation, as there are bubbles all over the side of the glass. Aroma is faint, but nice, it is apple cider. Taste is pretty good, raspberries and apple juice. Very carbonated mouthfull, lively from start to finish. Not bad, but nothing special.

This bottled cider from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of frothy clear colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a transparent softly carbonated orange colored body. The mild aroma was raspberry. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of raspberry apple and red apple. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Extremely light in color and carbonation. Apple aroma (obviously). Refreshing and sweet.

Nice to see an American cider that actually has some flavor. Light and goes down easy.

very sweet up front. This one really tastes like carbonated apple juice. Actually, very lightly carbonated. Medium body, slick mouthfeel. Enjoyably refreshing on a fall day. Nothing else to say about it really.
