2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a clear, highly effervescent pale gold with a thin white head. Aroma is tart, green apple candy, read apple sweeness, hints of vanilla and fruity yeast. Flavor is more sweet and candy-like in flavor up front, but with a tart, Granny Smith and more well rounded Red Delicious-like sweetness in the middle, finish tastes like tart and sweet apple skins. The overall sweeness belies the tart, lightly acidic, nicely dry feel thoughout, well mingles to a sharp, but light and blanketing carbonation. Pretty nice all around. One

There is a surge in popularity of ciders these days which I think has something to do w/ everyone pretending they have gluten allergies. Maybe I am just a judgmental bitch though, nobody knows. In any case, this one of many alcoholic apple soda type ciders and it is pretty much interchangeable w/ a hundred others. That said, this is pretty tasty stuff and better than most due to a fairly high level of acidity, which helps keep things nice and crisp. For this reason, it is maybe not the best cider to try to impress high school girls but it will still work reasonably well for such ill-advised adventures.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark gold with minimal head. Aroma of straight aple juice. Taste is is the same. Very sweet and light tart. Medium bodied with a sticky texture. Fizzy carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, not bad. Tone down the sweetness a bit and this would be awesome.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Single from NBD. Point doesn’t make the worst beer int he world, so this shouldn’t be too bad. First ingredient is... "Cider Base". ¿Que?
Unatural, beer-like, rich, tall, lather head. Clear, golden bronze body. Active body.
Smell is forced. Red & green artificial apple candy. Maybe some melon & strawberry candy essence too. Half a cup of sugar, a touch caramelized or syrupy. Medicinal even. A bit too much extra acid.
Taste is all about candied & sour apple flavor. Melon & lemon. Some cardboard near the end.
Syrupy feel, acidic, heavily carbonated.
Such a sugar headache...

. I don’t have any complaints! Great cider. I’ve tried many of the popular ciders Magners, Strongbow, Harppon, Woodchuck, Crispin, Angry Orchard, etc. This is the best I’ve had. Harpoon, then Strongbow, then Apple Orchard follow.
This cider has more carbonation and produces more of a head than other ciders. There is not a ton of carbonation but more than the others I’ve tried.
It is best to not pour a cider like you would a beer but just pour it straight down so it agitates and produces a little foam too. That’s how to get the best flavor.
This cider has great flavor. I’m really glad I picked it up and gave it a try. I would compare it to Harpoon or Strongbow the most. It has a very similar taste but I’d say it’s sweeter (more flavor) and more carbonation. This also has 5% alcohol percentage so it gets the edge for me.
I wanted to sign up to review this because I was searching for reviews when I was in the store and I know it’s fairly new.

Pours fizzy yellow with just a few bubbles. Aroma is sweet, sugary apples like granny smith. Flavor is same but with more sugar like jolly rancher candy. I’m not saying it doesn’t taste good, its just prolly innappropriate.
