ComradeK (526) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - OCT 26, 2010
750ml bottle. Pours an excellent-looking dark hazy gold, with no head, of course, but good lasting carbonation. The nose is a bit odd. There are some pleasant musky apple notes in there, but also an odd funky smell that is a little off-putting. It improves as one begins to taste it though, with some sweet apple to begin, moving into a full-on bittersweetness with some lemon notes. There is an excellent dry steeliness on the palate, reminiscent of an unoaked dry white wine. A good solid dry cider.
