Golden in colour, no head and a touch cloudy. Loads of eating apples on the nose. Sweet, jucy and tasty - really quite lovely.

Bottle from a deli in Samoens shared with Pix. Pours straw with a light rim of white suds. Mild cider vinegar aroma. The taste is pear at first before stewed apple. Tart yet sugary sweet. Light and very refreshing. Very good sweet cider.

750 ml cork bottle bought at Park N Shop Superstore in Fanling.

Piss pale golden yellow colour; One finger head and soapy white foam which fades in 20 seconds; Minimal lacing with fizzy carbonation; Tart and woody aroma of apple fresh, apple juice, sparkling white wine and faint pears; Sweet and tart taste of sparkling white wine, apple flesh, sugar, wood, light shade of pears, tannic and soda; Light body, thin and quite tart palate. Mouth feel is strong sweet and tart red apple fresh in woody background. Pear taste can be felt but in flashes here and there. Quite carbonated for strong soda feel; Booze is very light, counters the tartness quite well; Slightly dry after taste, very easy to mouth.

Comments: I was thirsty as hell so I went for the Doux and what a relief to have a very quaffable, sweet but restrained, tart and woody two-fruit cider. The pear taste is somewhat less than what I expected, but overall the nose and taste worked well. As a decently-tasty thirst quencher, it does the job well enough. Will buy again.

Bottle from Liquor Mountain in Gion. Crisp apple aroma, rather ripe, a bit of acid. Simple but nice. Pale gold with lace, clear. Sweet but crisp flavor, light tartness, nice fruit flavor, a tiny bit dusty. Medium body. Nice stuff, not super sweet, with good balance. Easy drinking and enjoyable.
