75 cL bottle, courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is sulphor and dry apples. Dry apple and crisp. Dry and barnyard like. Dry and sulphorish into the far finish.

Found in a corked bottle, opposed to the twist-off bottle of the "normal" Brut that J. Verrier puts out. Golden body, small head. Smells of sweet apples and a flower perfume. Taste is a grassy earth-apple taste with a slightly dry finish.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2010 Bottled. A golden cider with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet and very apply and woody with an underlying acidity. The flavor is sweet with notes of apples and wood, leading to a dry woody finish. Boring. Same bottle as fonefan rated.

Bottle @ Chris_o shindig 2007. Clear medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, virtually none, white head. Aroma is moderate apple, fruit, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat to soft. (040807)

Comments: A very sweet and simple, unsatisfying French cider that manages to hint at alcohol with 4% ABV.

This cider poured a very yellow color. Good carbonation making lots of little bubble streams. Aroma is sweet apples and medicinal, band-aid-like notes with barnyard/horseblanket. Almost a hint of smoke. Heavy phenols? Interesting strong aroma. Flavor is sweet-sour apple. Another hint of smoke. Very interesting. Drying tannins and acid. Flavor and aroma stay in the mouth for a long time after swallow. Not the best and not my favorite cider, but certainly one of the most peculiar.
