COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gentle, smooth cider with 7% alcohol. Made from an agreeable blend of Cortland and McIntosh apples, the Cuvée Versant Sud presents a light yellow robe and an excellent balance between fruitness and acidity. Bite into a fresh apple and this is what this mild cider will remind you of. Enjoy it with daily meals, meat, or fish. Ideal in cidria punch or blended in a fruit cocktail. To be served cold, between 4 and 6 C.

4 oz sample. Clear very pale gold pour, still. Aroma is light, light pear notes, peachy, very light white wine notes. Nice apple flavor, good balance no real off flavors, very light alcohol, floral apple notes. Palate is med-light bodied, a tad sweet. Decent.

pours clear bright yellow just like filtered apple juice. fresh apples and pears, some apple sauce made of macintosh apples, hint of tartness and sweetness - floral honey, touch of wood, lightly astringent booze, clean. flat carbonation, light body - oily; semi-sweet and clean fruity finish. slightly linear and a tad sweet but clean and enjoyable.

Pours a clear golden with very fine legs. Nose is of faint wild yeast and juicy apples, apple flesh. Taste is lightly sweet and gently acidic, offers some pear-like impressions, light brown sugar and apple cider. Body is medium and mouthfeel a bit thick/liquorous but overall not too heavy (not sure why other people are reporting light body, I do have a good sugary juice mouthfeel). Overall a pretty good cider but not a contest-winning one, middle-of-the-road.

4 oz sample from bottle (750 ml) at home. Clear yellow golden-ish leaving little legs on the glass. Aroma is of McIntosh apples, sugary notes and mild white wine-ish notes. Not so sweet taste, but a little sugary. Mild acidity. Light body. A tad watery. Not bad, but boring.

Sampled from the bottle. Poured a pale blonde with no head whatsoever. Aroma was full of sweet apples with a nice balancing and acidity and tartness. Flavor began with sweet apples as well but was balanced very nicely by some tart apples that brought in a nice acidity. Even a bit of a nice crab apple note came in.

Bottle at Brewnosers meeting. Very pale yellow body. Quite muted, fruity aroma. light sweet muted apple flavour gets quite dry in the finish. Average to light palate. Rather pleasant and drinkable, but a touch muted and lacks the depth of flavour to be ranked higher.

A light yellow cider with no head. The aroma contains lots of apples, while the flavor is sweet - again with lots of apples, and a good acidity in the end, that leaves the mouth dry. A good replacement for white wine.

Bottle at the cidrerieClear light beige, nose of grass and apples, a bit of medicinal light alcohol. Very tart and rustic. Nice and easy to drink for these quebecois ciders.

pure apple juice apperance, clear and still. Dryish straightforward apple nose, vinous, light. Dry white wine palate, rocky and rooty apple flavors. Light bodied with an oily character.
