COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Strong aperitif cider with 16% alcohol. Resulting from an assortment of apples. Délicieuse, McIntosh and old varieties, fortified with alcohol, this gentle cider presents complex apple and honey aromas with a distinctive golden robe. Aperitif cider both thirst-quenching and pleasant. To be served cold, between 4 and 6 C.

An orange cider with a very pure apple aroma. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of apples, but also with so strong an alcohol presence that it burns the throat. The mouthfeel is like drinking the sugar water used to preserve pears. Too strong for my liking.

Still, golden. Very powder sugar sweet, slightly floral, heavily alcoholic. Oldish apple taste, more alcohol flavors throughout, direct mcintosh, not overwhelming. You can separate alcohol parts from the rest. Syrupy, extremely sweet medium body.

Sample at the ciderhouse, RBSG Sunday cider tour. Medium-dark cider-amber-gold color, WTF they all look the same basically...strong pear presence in the nose along with whiskeyish baked apples...sweet, sweet body with burning alcohol entering late...lightly sticky mouthfeel.

07.10.05 Bottle, RBSG tour. Pale golden. Aroma is riesling and very concentrated apple juice laced with vodka. Strong alcoholic kick. A bit over the top, tends toward cloying, even in this tiny sample.

Alcohol is quite apparent in both aroma and flavour with buttery, brown sugar, sweet and tart apples. Clear deep golden body with nice legs on the glass. Warming in the throat. Alcohol perhaps too apparent but this may be a nice one to lay down for a year or two. Sampled at the orchard tasting room at RBSG’05.

(RBSG05) Clear, slightly pale apple juice body. Aroma is medium sweet, apple, nice tartness. Taste is very sweet, apple, liqueur, alcohol burn in the finish. Syrupy full body.

Has a pale yellow golden color. Light apple and pear aroma has a nice sweetness and a touch of alcohol. Body is full, thick and sweet, but also powerfully alcoholic toward the finish. Nice warming fruit complexity throughout, but the alcohol is a touch too much.

(Sampling) 2005 Cidres & Crepes in the Eastern Townships. Lightly coloured. Nose of a fairly syrupy apple juice alcohol. I enjoyed the flavour - it was a kind of Pomelle Junior in flavour with lighter notes. Very good!
