Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 20, 2005 A light yellow cider. The arom is sweet with lots of apple notes. The flavor is dry acidic apple, combined with hints of wood. The acidity draws out the mouthwater. I can’t say what, but there is something weird about this cider. BückDich (4605), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 24, 2005 Bottle at the cidrerieLight clear yellow. Dry, tart, light sweetness and fresh apple tastes, not as sharp as previous. Warm but no alcohol notes, very tart, very dry. Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 28, 2005 Clear flat pale yellow. Very light nose, but nicely oaky, creamy apples blending in nicely. The oak felt a bit plasticy to me in mouth, the apples remain creamy, but toward the end, as it dries out, it feels wazy, woody and astringent. Light bodied, still.
muzzlehatch (4429), Burlington, USA Jul 25, 2005 Sample at the ciderhouse, RBSG Sunday cider tour. Very light, almost clear gold-tinged body with a bit of legs...lightly alcoholic, oaky nose, somewhat musty...light, clean, refreshing dry texture in the body with a hint of alcohol, subdued fruit character, and a smidgeon of white wine and pepper late. willblake (1952), Long Branch, New Jersey, USA Jul 21, 2005 07.10.05 Bottle, RBSG tour. Strong oak on the nose, vanilla, butter, dirt. Probably a bit over oaked. Flavor tricks the palate into thinking it will finish dry, to prepare, but it’s not dry at all.
