mullet (767), Melbourne, Australia May 15, 2008 Quite surprised to see this one rates so low. Very pale, pretty subtle aroma but what’s there is pretty nice. Lovely balance of light sweetness and clean acid. Appley without being too obvious. Nothing weird and very fresh-tasting. Real nice, lacking only in intensity.
IrishBoy (2209), Bakersfield, California, USA Aug 5, 2008 355ml bottle from my cider provider: HogTownHarry; Nose of tart green apples with only the tiniest hint of sweetness; pale gold with virtually no head, only a few bubbles which ring the glass; flavor is tart apples with only a tiny hint of sweetness in the finish. Beerlando (1458), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 30, 2008 Pours a crystal clear, light straw color. Minimal, cascading carbonation pools into a lightly fizzy surface. Looks thin in the glass. The nose is mundane, showing like seltzer water sweetened with apple juice and perhaps a drop of lemon. The flavor, too, fell short. Sugary sparkling water with faint sour apples and a touch of citrus is all that really comes through. The 6.4% is well hidden, but it feels like a sugary coverup more than anything else. Lightly syrupy body, with light carbonation. Clean, dry finish. Bland. This just doesn’t cut it for me on any level. GregClow (2369), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 16, 2008 Bottle from a SAQ in Montreal. Clear light golden colour with mellow carbonation. Nice aroma of tart, fresh apples and a very slight woodiness. Crisp body. Dry, tart apple flavour, with a hint of sharp cheese. A pleasant dry cider that went well with a roast chicken dinner. blankboy (2687), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours a bubbly clear pale yellow with no head. Aroma of apples yes, but also old sharp cheddar and some white wine -- I found it just O.K. Flavour also has that old sharp cheese element to it along with tart apples, some wood and white wine. Dry finish. Light bodied, plenty carbonated. Maybe it was the mood I was in but I like I wrote earlier, I found this just O.K.
