3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 CapFlu (3798) - Victoria, - APR 24, 2005
(750ml bottle) With the glass the held up to your face the carbonation playfully bounces off your nose. The nose was of farmyard aroma and mac apples. Very mouth expanding and flavourful. Tastes more of peel and over-ripe, dry granules than regular apple juiciness. Very good. Many thanks to BeerBuzzMontreal!
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ApisAles (1227) - Greenbelt, Maryland, USA - AUG 4, 2008
Champagne clear with a lot of big fizzy head. tons of carbonation. Aroma is cellared apples, tart and crisp.
Flavor is more of the same. A great sharp tang followed by a near perfect apple kick. Nothing really at fault with this one and a great example of this particular style of cider. Wonderful stuff.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Sham (1846) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 2, 2006
Light yellow with a bubbly, champagne appearence. Aroma is dry with a strong resemblance to chloraseptic spray. Hay and grass as well. Medicine in the flavor with a light breath of apples. Tart and dry palate with a bubbly mouthfeel. Odd finish.

A yellow cider with a white head. The aroma is a spicy apple one, while the flavor has notes of oranges - pretty weird and has a dry end and a thin body.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BückDich (5468) - McCall, Idaho, USA - AUG 24, 2005
Bottle transported from the brewery to my house 2,700 miles away Clear yellow with lots of fizzy champagne like bubbles (small), quickly dissipating head, just like it should. The nose is dry but dusty and clean with a like oaky whisp of apples. The flavor is zesty and fizzy, just right, enough funkiness to carry you through the night. Lots of old wood tastes. Excellent.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Rastacouere (5921) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 28, 2005
Biscuity pale gold, sparkling. Bakes pastries and dryish hay contrats with subdued apples. Very woody nose, old crates and pencil shavings dryness. Fresh bready palate, growing on you after each sip, hayish, rocky. Sparkling palate without any astringence, comfortable. One of my favorite Jodoins.

07.10.05 Bottle, RBSG tour. Pale yellow, plenty of visible eff. Wood, leather, more wood. Light and soft. Mild finish with lasting barnyard. Lovely take on a sweet French style.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ernest (5184) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 14, 2005
Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing.
Body is clear very light yellow.
Aroma is moderately yeasty (horseblanket, barnyard), notes of apple, apple candy, lime zest.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic.
Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation.
The funky yeast smell helps this a bit in the aroma department, but there does seem to be a little bit of Jolly Rancher character, which is surprising considering this must be a very natural product. Oh well. A little too reserved in the mouth, although balanced well enough. Way too fizzy. All in all a nice French-style cider, but not in the realm of the greats.

Funky, woody, barnyard aroma has notes of bitter green apple-skins. Clear sparkly golden colour. Bitter appleskins, citrus and woody notes in the very dry, tart flavour. Apple flavour lingers forever on the tongue. Light, dry and strongly effervescent body. Bottle. Thanks, Goldorak!
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MartinT (6350) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 16, 2005
A dry wooden finish serves as a foundation for the mighty sparkling...Alcohol peeks through with some watery rivulets...I was expecting a lot more from this one honestly, they can make much better imho...
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - APR 28, 2005
750 ml bottle shared with Capflu, Goldorak, beerbuzzmontreal, Boutip and DumDum at the Ciderwinder tasting in Ottawa. Fizzy exploding gushing bottle yields a light, clear bubbly gold liquid...funky lemon-sour apple barnyard nose is fascinating...heavy carbonation in the body, quite dry overall...bitter iron at the finish, light and tingly apple peel character rather than sweet juice. A nice change from all the massively sweet thick ciders consumed that evening...
