ElDesmadre (1482) - Mikołów, POLAND - MAR 31, 2014
Bottle. Aroma of caramel, dark bread, licorice and dried fruit, in this order. The flavour is surprisingly dominated by licorice, with dark malts upfront and then licorice all the way into the light bitter finish. Unexpectedly pleasant, also unexpectedly light beer, with dangerously hidden ABV. Nice one.

FatPhil (9135) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 21, 2013
500ml bottle (Chmielarnia, Warsaw)
Very nice deep roast aroma, absolutely lovely, but alas there’s a bit of kidney later, which becomes a bit pissy ay times. Very nice rich roast, almost burnt at the edges. Particularly at the edges. Kidney continues, but the yeasty chewy aspects are quite heavy. Drinks purdy gurd! Feels full, but not too strong,

jfb (3680) - GERMANY - JUN 11, 2013
(bottle) pours a dark brownish black colour with a frothy dark brown head. aroma of liquorice, toffee and biscuits, slightly doughy and yeasty, with hints of dark fruit, caramel, espresso, acetone and toasted malts. flavour is mostly the same, though less complex and heavy on the roasted malts, with heavy notes of char, espresso, dark chocolate and a light roasted-bitter finish, no alcohol detectable. medium to heavy-bodied with soft carbonation.

omikr0n (701) - Prague, CZECH REPUBLIC - APR 11, 2013
Bottle. Pours dark brown to black with very nice brown creamy head that unfortunately disappeared quickly. Aroma is malty and roasty with a hint of hops and roast. Flavor is malty, minty, roasty with a bit of licorice and cocoa. Dry cocoa aftertaste. Very nice porter.

Bamsen78 (2955) - Sřnderborg, DENMARK - FEB 23, 2013
Bottle. Pours clousy very dark brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and coffee beans. Bitter flavour of coffee beans and just subtle notes of malt and fresh laundry roll. A slightly roasty finish. Very interesting, if a trifle unbalanced.

Cunningham (4325) - Halden, NORWAY - DEC 24, 2012
Black as the night with a fine beige topp. Rich licoroice aroma. Really dry and bitter texture. Light sweetness. Unusual Baltic Porter. A fine licorice, coffee and chocoalte flavour.

Very bitter taste that lasts in palate too. Roasted coffee palate with caramel nutes. Alcohol well hidden, somewhat watery. Browny foam. Black colour with some cherry nutes on the top of glass.

Bottle, Amsterdam bar in Gdansk. Dark brown colour. The aroma is vague sugars and caramels, like a dunkel. Has a lot of caramel and a touch of heat. A very basic Baltic Porter. This beer did, however, improve considerably as it warmed, gaining in complexity.

Beershine (5212) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - JUL 22, 2012
Bottle in Gdansk at Beer & Bagels. Pours flat like cola. Very sad looking. And smells like cola, and tastes like cola. Sasparilla, rooty licorice, ginseng, And has low carbo. The cola flavors are annoying at first but it grows on me. A slight roast comes out, and so does roasted anise, which marries the hidden roast. The alcohol is shockingly disguised. Too bad about the limp, flaccid appearance and underwhelming palate.
