50cl bottle in Krakow. Sure it was fine. Not a great hefe but nice. Definitely some yeast notes and actually fairly dry.

bottle from Wine of Dreams, Warszawa Poland. Cloudy, pale straw-yellow colour, large, bubly head. Looks great. Aroma of wheat, yeast and shy hints of banana, hints of citrus fruit - reminds me a bit of a witbier. Te flavours start very wheaty, shy hints of banana with a lovely citrusy punch and some nice yeasty accents. A very spicy beer. Carbonation is very smooth and the palate velvety - not as over-carbonated as many beers of that style. Another well crafted and delicious beer from a brewery I truly like. Superb stuff!

Disappointment! This beer should be one of the best wheat beers in Poland? I have already tried some eastern European wheat beers, Ciechan Pszeniczne is the worst! Typical wheat smell, which is highly acidic and cereals, plus low drinkability - there are better beers from the brewery Ciechan!

Smells fresh but mild, with a considerable sweetness to the aroma, almost an artificial sweetness. Super huge head, many minutes to settle. Wheaty tanginess but also very sweet, maybe some pepper and very mild watery banana but none of the full characteristics of a good German Hefe. Not bad, just not good. From Wine of Dreams, BB this month (March).

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a cloudy and opaque yellow with a very lively and frothy white head. Very citrusy aroma - a distinct yeastiness as well. Medium body, very tart and citric again with yeast. Ends very dry. Not sure if the tartness is intended but it quite suits the beer. 090710
