Bottle 75cl. @ cgarvieuk - Cigar City tasting.
Clear dark black color with a average to large, creamy to frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, moderate alcohol. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long long duration, bourbon. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. [20100206]

Bottled. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, wood, soy sauce, and grain as well as a light note of alcohol.

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2010 Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of TheCheeseMan. Bottle # 104/449. Pours pitch black with a light brown head. Hard roasted malts, licorice allsorts and vanilla in the nose. Solid body, hard roasted - yet sweet - malt accents. Lots of vanilla and dark fruits. Some alcohol. Delicious. 210810

Bottle, blind #11. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark, chocolate malty and dark roasted. Distinct liqourice and sweet. Dark malty flavoured. Caramelish and toffee. Dark malty, bitter and bone dry. Mocca. Alcohol. Lingering dark malty into the far finish.

Bottle #11 at Papsøs blindtasting. Pitch black coloured with a medium sized brown head, Roasted aroma of dark chocolate, oak and vanilla with notes of bourbon. Sweet and roasted flavour of dark chocolate, bourbon and vanilla. Sweet and roasted finish.

Bottle @ Odense Tasting, May 2011. Thanks to Stobbe74. Pours black with a creamy brown head and lacings. Nose and flavors are of roast, dark, fruit, bourbon and a bit of soy. Really lovely. Long end . .

( 750ml, 2009 vintage, batch #2, bottle 399/449, courtesy of ericandersnavy ) Pours an opaque black body with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and oak. Flavor of chocolate, oak, cedar, and roasted malt.

75cl bottle, thanks sebletitje. Small tan head atop brown-black body. Aroma is moderately sweet, Bourbon, some vinous, light smoke. Taste is sweet, Bourbon, some vinous, light smoke, coffee/roast. Sticky medium-full body, light acidity.
