2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle shared with my ugly friend beardface. Could this beer be any sweeter? Aroma, flavor, just sticky sweetness. If you attempt to get past the sweetness youíll get some fruitiness but then the sweetness comes back. Not nearly enough hop bitterness or aroma/flavor. Maybe 220 IBU? And about twice as much late hops.
Disappointing brew from an otherwise great brewery.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
I like beers that change my mind. Having heard this selection was rather sweet, I decided to taste it for myself. Just glanced at the specs for a second, and wonder how this has 110 IBUís. The smell the taste and the finish all indicate a brew with a distinct amount hops, however, this beer is just not that bitter. Color is hazy orange to golden with a white head. Smell is citrusy, but not pungent, more like apricots, over-ripe peaches and carrot cake. Mouthfeel is solid, not too thin. Taste is something out of a homebrew. Not sure what to think here... thereís some resemblance of beer, but it is rich, rich to a fault. Alcohol flavor remains non existent. Finish is sweet and mildly hoppy. This sucker would be much more enjoyable if it was not so darn sweet. At itís best: an easy introduction to the style. At itís worst: Poor example of the ceiling of the style. This beer has not changed my love for the style, however is has taught me to be wary of what it might become. Drink Responsibly.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On Cask and in bottle from Cigar City...Better on cask. Pours a gorgeous ruby-red with a small tan head that completely dissipates. Aroma is strong candied sugars, various hops, strong sugared grapefruit, and honey. Flavor is slight bitterness, sweet honey and sugared grapefruit up front that fades into a nice sweet bitterness. Full body, a tad cloying, but a great warmth to it. This beer was better on cask...the sweetness and bitterness seemed to separate much more in bottle and alot of the biterness was sitting at the bottom...still great in my opinion...I guess it depends on what you like...if you insist that a beer must be true to its style to be good...then you probably wont like this...but i dont draw boundaries on my beer styles...it tasted good, smelled good, and looked great...So in my book, its a great beer.

1.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle thanks to Josh. Pours a nice orange color with a small head to it. Has a citrus smell to it. Has a boozy sweet syrup like taste. Itís awful. Best part of this beer is watching go down the drain.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
750mL bottle thanks to Jason! Poured medium plummy-amber with a thin creamy head. The aroma picked up some strong, odd sugars.. overripe oranges and apples, some apricot, biscuit and noticeable alcohol. The flavor is very sweet even at colder temperatures. Fairly hoppy but the sweetness and alcohol really mask any bitterness. Some lemon peel finish and a slightly astringent soapiness. Long, warming finish. Heavy body with a sticky, oily texture. This beer took some time to kill. Itís a little "heavy-handed." I donít know if aging would really help this much. Perhaps it would be smoother. The text on the label was off-putting. Do we really have to resort to all this "big-boy" trashtalking on beer labels? One Stone Brewery is about all I can handle. (Perhaps CC was making fun, but I sure couldnít tell.) Just tell us about the beer. Donít make it a test of your manliness, please.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewery. Heavy sweetness was slightly abrasive and eclipsed a lot of what else was going on. Thick and sticky. Rich fruits and floral notes. Enjoyed.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
begins sweet, unique flavor, simultaneously hoppy and malty, but a little too sweet overall to be great, cotton candy sensation, I donít taste 100 IBUs

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours Amber orange with off white head. Aroma is big on sweet malt, hops present as well. Taste is overwhelmingly sweet, pine and resiny hops in the finish. A little too sweet and not enough balance for my liking.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a beautiful orange color with minimal white head. Aroma is overwhelmingly caramel with a hint of pine included, warning of a potentially sweet beer. Medium-low carbonation. Holy crap, this beer drinks more like a 4 year old barley wine than an imperial IPA. Itís super sweet with no discernible balancing bitterness. With higher carbonation and more bitterness, this might be a better beer, but man it really swings and misses as far as hitting the style.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Got this in a trade a couple months ago, so it is admittedly a bit old, but has been stored in the fridge since I got it... that being said..
This is a HUGE malt bomb. The pour is a nice hazy orange color with some thick white foamy head.
Aroma is alcohol and sweet malts. Flavor is almost ALL malt. Overly sweet and quite thick and syrupy - I get almost NO hop flavor or bitterness off of this one.
Overall this is the first beer from CCB Iíve that wasnít amazing.
Will not seek this out again.
