3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Plovmand (5711) - Helsinge, DENMARK - MAR 29, 2013
Bottle provided by Hopscotch. Thanks man! Pours hazy deep golden with a medium off white head. The aroma is sweet fruity with notes of spices, orange marmalade and hops. The flavor is highly malty with sweet fruity hoppy notes. Oranges and marmalade. Dry spicy and fruity finish. Nice but bit cloying as the beer warms up.

Thats Adam for the trade, I loved this beer. After returning home from RBWG2013, it was a nice last bottle in the fridge to wait out the winter. Crisp and warm in the taste, beautiful in the pour and texture.

Bottle @ Greg’s house via trade with markwise. Thanks Mark! Pours a hazy, red orange appearance with a light brown head. Orange citrusy, dull juicy citrus fruity, a bit bready, bitter herbal hoppy aroma. Quite strong, huge sweet bready malty, thick zesty orange fruity, kind of stale flavor with a fair amount of booze and sweetness on the finish.

750mL thanks to bMerrill. Pours a full haze deep red, yellow head. Okay lacing. Nose is cheesy, nutty, stale, sugary, orange marmalade. Taste is sugary, papery, dry, sticky. Sticky sweet dipa that is stale and sugar forward. Shocking!
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Leighton (6955) - London, ENGLAND - JAN 13, 2013
Bottle shared at CBC First Birthday, London - many thanks to Paul! Pours mostly clear, rich gold with a sturdy, white foam head. Nose holds a lot of malts, some caramel, some ripe fruits. Big sweet flavor, super sugary, lots of toffee and caramel, very mild leafy hops, honey. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Big sweet finish, quite warming, some caramel, bread, honey. Very mellow pine, plenty of sugar. It’s a hugely sweet beer.

Gift from SJ. Nice floral aroma and pine , resin , caramel and toast flavor.
A really good blend, but a bit thin on body for me.

November 16, 2012 bottle from the brewery. Dark orange pour (like an Arnie Palmer) with nice head that faded quickly. Sweet, fruity and hops in the aroma. Taste was consistent, but just too sweet and a not good bitter finish.

Notice exotic orange / sangria character. I found to be very intriguing in retrospect. Enjoyed quite well on game day.

A very malty bitter muddled mess. Tastes like a pile of dry leaves, bittered and boozed up. CC makes so many great and so many mediocre beers but I love the experimentation.
