Pours to a hazy orange hued chestnut colored body with a white head. The aroma is a light orange covered chocolate. Like orange oil. The flavor is bitter grassy and pine hops with some light oranges and bitter malt. No signs of chocolate. The palate is medium bodied and has an extreme lingering bitterness.

Orangish pour small dense white head. Aroma is orange zest a hint of coriander some candied sugar a hint of alcohol. Full well coated palate. Flavor reminds me of a big sweet IPA. Lots of sweet malt caramels a good amount of orange zest hints of grass some hints of graham cracker. This beers a bit of a hit mess but it all works out and tastes pretty good.

750mL bottle, sent from Gillard (thanks a lot, Ryan), pours an opaque dark orange with a small beige head. Nose is very fruity and sugary, --more sugary than hoppy for a IIPA--, with notes of grapefruit, mango, candied sugar, resinous hops and a big sweet caramel malt backbone. Flavour matches almost identically, with loads of caramel malt sweetness, some grapefruit, some other tropical fruits and then a blast of resinous hops - finishes lightly bitter and quite sugary and fairly boozy. Way more malt-forward than a superior IIPA should be, but itís still drinkable. Far from refreshing and more like a thick, syrupy barley wine, but still quite enjoyable.

750mL bottle courtesy of markwise pours clear deep copper with tan head. The aroma offers up sticky malts mixing with near robust levels of pine hop goodness and a modest level of sweet smelling fruity esters. Nice IIPA aroma. The taste is bold and rich and bitter. I get prune and cherry sweet fruity esters as well as firm levels of muted yet resiny pine hops. Between those notes sweet malts and pine hop flavor bind the experience together. Nice bold rich bitter IIPA and Ďhomeredí in class too.

750 ml bottle via trade with smith4498 - Pours a hazy amber color with a half finger thick light tan head. Faint spotty lacing. Aroma is resin and pine hops. Flavor is toasted malt, floral, citrus, and resin hops, and tropic esters. The bitterness really lingers in the finish. The alcohol is quite noticeable. Full body. A really good beer. Thanks Jason.

Holy Cow this is a Big Beer! Thanks Dchmela! Nice dark pour with a light brown thick foamy head. Roasted barly and pine. Booming thick rich flavor with a bit of chocholet. Great pallat!

Bomber. Pours a cloudy orange with a small frothy off white head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a floral hops, caramel, mango, and pine. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet caramel malt, grapefruit, and nice sweet finish. Tastes more like a barley wine than a IIPA.

Pours slightly hazy copper color with off white head. Fruity and citrusy aromas with some caramel. Sweet caramel flavor with juicy citrus hops with moderate bitterness. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation. Much sweeter and maltier than what I look for in a DIPA, but still a nice Barley wine or American Strong ale.

750 bottle from PUBíR. Pours turbid deep orangy /fall foliage oak leaf color with 1-finger frothy well-retained off-white head. Seriously, if you scored this one lower than a 3 for appearance, then I question your rating acumen, as it looks pretty as a picture. The nose is intense, very barleywiney, with huge caramel malt, hops, fermented dark fruit, mango, cognac, and berries. Tastes super rich, with a heavy caramel malt base, syrupy, with hints of cognac, a less sweet Irish Mist, huge tropical fruit including tangerine, pineapple, mango, and star fruit, and finishing cognac and spirity notes. Stays a bit sweet, with a huge palate heft and complexity. Oh, and donít forget the hops. Thereís more hops in this than you peons deserve, and a little more than that, too. I expect this one to age well for 20 years, and this would pair extremely well with a CAO maduro cigar as an after-meal smoke to a prelude dinner of roasted bartlett pear salad, black pepper-crusted lamb chop, and au gratin potatoes.

Bottle. This is about what I expected. A big sweet malty ale with aggressive resinous hops that probably more resembles an American Barleywine than a Double IPA... The aroma has lots of toffee and resin. Some whiffs of alcohol join, with a touch of grapefruit. Copper colored; pours with a fluffy off-white head that fades to a thin layer. Thin lacing slides along the sides of the glass after each sip. Big and malty, as stated at the top; full-bodied, sweet, and a bit syrupy going down, with mostly resinous, but some citrus hops too. The curacao peel certainly adds an interesting element, and is a welcomed contrast to all the sweet malt. This gets a bit dry in the finish but thereís still a lot of lingering malt. Itís hopped up but thereís not a ton of bitterness. I wasnít a huge fan of this but I didnít dislike it either. Itís just a bit too hefty, sticky, and malty for my tastes these days. It is, fortunately, better than the 110K #3 of the series, but that one was pretty bad. Make this an 8-9% Double IPA with curacao peel and the malt kept in check and now weíre talking. Of course, then it wouldnít be a 110K+OT beer...
