3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy amber with a thick off white head. Thick, sweet malt body with a big tropical fruit hoppiness in the taste. Hints of orange peel and tropical fruit hops dominate the aroma. While the body is a little thick, the aroma is fabulous. Overall, quite good.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUL 9, 2012 Bottle Pour at Taps Wine & Beer in Winter Park, FL. I must admit strong bias towards anything that Cigar City produces... however was a bit disappointed with this $33 bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with a nice creamy head. Starts slightly bitter and moves into sweetness. Way too sweet! Was expecting something more from the bitter peels and ended up on the other side of sickening sticky, like an orange marmalade (which is really not really something I care too much for). Reminds me of a blown out version of Bell’s Two Hearted Ale (which I love because it’s much more classic and understated).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle to snifter (thanks drowland). Looks good; an opaque orange with thin lacing. Smells pungent; that peel is big. Tastes pretty good too. Mouthfeel is average. Not bad.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Total Wine Ft Lauderdale. It pours clear amber, with a thin off-white head. The nose is massive citrus, pot pourri, floral and sweet tangy orange. The taste is sweet orange citrus fruit, pot pourri, resin, alcohol warmth, tangy, spice and marmalade. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Slightly sticky mouth-feel and perhaps a touch too sweet. Not bad.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bott’e at CBC’s First Birthday Party. Cheers to Scopey for bringing this one back from FL! The pour is a full deep amber orange with no head whatsoever. The nose is oak, lemon, strawberry sherbet and orange. The taste is much the same, plenty of wood and orange liqueur. Full body, hot. Overall, not bad, but not a standout on the day!
