3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml Bottle. This brew poured a hazy dark copper like orange topped with an average (1-2 finger) light tan creamy head, which slowly receded and produced some superb sheets of sticky lacing.
As for the aroma it was bold and robust of a sweet light bread malt, floral and resin hops and a chewy doughy yeast, it also possessed notes of caramel, toffee, mango, citrus (orange), a light hint of butter and a strong scent of alcohol (cognac).
The taste was rather intense right off with a sweet maltiness and had a nice buttery caramel presence from the get go, but quickly become very hoppy with a bold resin flavor and a sweet fruity alcohol ending. The aftertaste was with you for a very long time preceding the swallow, with a sweet hoppy alcohol warming left behind for further enjoyment.
Mouthfeel was medium in body and somewhat syrupy in texture with a medium carbonation.
Overall I found this to be an Imperial IPA that was very sweet, in fact it tasted more like a Barleywine than anything else. That being said, it was a fantastic brew with a easy drinkability and a fantastic fruity hoppy taste...

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle share... Thanks, Donny! Aroma is sweet like oranges with a dank, hop smell. Appearance is a murky bronze. Taste starts sweet then turns slightly hoppy then finishes sweet. Palate is surprisingly sweet. Overall, a interesting beer. Would try again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Review from backlog, bottle tasted 08/12/2012. Pours reddish brown, light tan head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, burnt sugar, mild pine hoppiness. Taste is sweet, vanilla caramel, toffee, prune, resinous piney hop character, verging on the slightly sour. Medium body. This was a bit off- weak as an IPA, not nice even as a barleywine, a bit of a confusing hybrid.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - thanks! Pours clear reddish amber with a large creamy puffy beige head that dissipates slowly leaving sticky lacing on the glass. Aroma is very malty - caramel, toffee, pine resin. Flavor about the same, medium sweet, medium bitter. Most of the hop character has faded into "bitter", but the beer remains quite interesting as an American strong or a barleywine. There is some zestiness to the bitter, which I am guessing is curacao. Not bad. Full bodied and creamy in the mouth.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This beer pours a cloudy dark orange color with a medium creamy khaki head that recedes steadily to a compact film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, yeast and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of resiny hops, toffee, doughy malt and citrus. The finish is sweet with a citrus and piney hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
