Looks good, black and lacey. Smoke in aroma. Yeasty taste, using saison yeast. Hop bitterness right there. A big beer, interesting to drink, though how much can I drink of it?

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk. Deep, deep reddish brown, thin off-white head. Interesting nose, some Belgian influence, red fruits, raisin, some coffee notes, soft smoke, juniper? blackcurrant? Very complex. Sweet honeyed malts, again red fruits, sweet smokiness, very perfumed, earthy hops and soft smoke on the finish. Fascinating, well-balanced considering all the disparate elements, but a bit overfizzy.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle Matt. Thanks, man! A beer I didn’t even know existed. Pours a rich dark brownish pour, dark with some ruby brown edges. A frothy tannish light brown head sits atop, laces well and sticks around as a firm layer. Aromas are touches of fruit, cherries and some toffee. Touches of gentle peat, caramel, and toffee. Toast, toffee, and crisp sweetness. Gentle dry hops. Initial is chocolatey up front, dry with toastiness, some caramel. Much less sweet than the nose let on. Dry and toasty finish, hoppy dryness and toast. Biscuits, bread, toast. Touches of cherries, red fruit, and mellow sweetness creep in, quickly drying out and getting toastu, gentle roast, peat. Some mellow dryness, toffee sweetness, lingering cocoa. Brown malts offer a great difference and good flavor. Wow, quite an interesting exeprience that offers a lot more flavor, balance, and palate experience in the actual beer. Nose was a bit sweet. Looks great. Solid beer.
