UPDATED: FEB 21, 2010 Sampled at the brewery. A: Pours a cloudy lighter shade of orange. Nice tall creamy white head. Excellent retention and crazy amount of lace. S: Nice light fruits with hints of apple. Very bready with notes of fresh crushed grain and hints of grassy hops. T: Nice light roasty malt for sure. Sort of grainy, almost picked up a bit of corn in there. Hints of grassy hops and lemon grass with a light boozy finish. Different, yet enjoyable. M: Medium in body, very smooth, great carbonation, bit of boozy sting in the finish.

Tap. Light roasted and bread notes for the malt, moderate pine resin for the hops, a hint of soap for the yeast, with wood and pepper in the background. Head is huge, frothy/creamy, white with good lacing and is fully lasting. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and acidic and moderately bitter. Palat eis medium, oily with lively carbonation and a lightly astringent finish. A rich and full American Strong Ale, with a lot of character.
