UPDATED: OCT 8, 2010 Draft… 4th Annual Jupiter Craft Brewers Festival… Cloudy golden ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Great retention. Musky, spicy, malty nose. Full-bodied with a creamy texture and medium carbonation. Big and flavorful. Starts off malty-sweet, but then medium to heavy bitterness kicks in to balance things out… and then some. Peppery, spicy, musky hops. Lengthy, bittersweet finish.

Tap at Rattle N Hum. Hazy orange pour with a thick white head. The nose is lightly smokey and phenolic with a bit of peppery booziness. There is also a touch of soft spiciness. Light sweet cocoa and a bit of an unusual cattiness as well. A bit chewy. Kind of odd.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2010 On cask at Cigar City takes NYC event at Rattle ’N’ Hum. This one didn’t work out too well, very sweet and also bitter, the sweetness is honey and caramel, the bitter is C citrus though the latter is secondary. Creamy though. Fresh aromas. Dark golden colour with a bit of white head.

Draft at Capone’s. Pours dark coppery straw color with 1-finger off-white head. Nose is hopcitrus, fruit, pine, malt. Complex flavor, with rock sugary malt, hopcitrus, funky yeasty esters. A great cream ale, and it strikes me that a cream ale seems appropriate for a Batch 69.

Draft. Pours a hazy copper toned body with a white head. Grassy hop character with underlying tones of spruce and dry earth. Rounds out with a light citrus hop tone, some light floral notes, a bit of cream like sweetness and a bittering finish. Nice.
