Bottle from JdubFL - thanks! Reddish-brown pour with an aroma of vanilla, bourbon, dark fruits and brown sugar. Flavor has maple, vanilla/wood/bourbon, chocolate, dark fruits, and assorted sweet goodies. Monster mouthfeel - this is awesome and gives Alesmithís BA Wee Heavy a run for its money.

Extraordinary!! On tap at the Winter Warmer 2012, this pours mahogany with a thin tan ring of suds. The sweet bouquet is of oak, vanilla, whiskey, toffee and caramel. The ABV is almost inconsequential, with such a silky palate. Just gorgeous, truly.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle care of Bruce at his Bíday.Dark brown, murky, tan head. Nose is lots and lots of vanilla, lots and lots of lactic milkiness, creamy, oaky, old wood, bourbon sweetness. Taste is very soft. Creamy, lactic, milky, vanilla, bourbon sweet and sourness. Mainly just soft sweetness and lots of vanilla and creaminess. Itís not overwhelming like some bourbon aged stuff but it is sweet.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Old notes. 750ml bottle #216/240. My notes are sparse, I guess because it didnít do much for me. Aroma of big, chewy, sticky malt. Lots of vanilla from the wood. A good dose of alcohol despite only being 8.5%. Pours hazed, cloudy dark amber/brown with a thick khaki head. Flavor has a huge wood presence. Vanilla, sweet malt, toffee caramel, alcohol and more wood. Sticky body. boozy. Dry finish with a massive wood presence throughout the beer. Very unbalanced. Thanks Bob!

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy dull brown color with a fluffy foam... On the nose its big round and boozy, with rich brown sugar, molasses, a touch of earthy barrel notes and even some smokey peat. The palate is much of the same with rich mouthfeel and soft balance with flavors. The bourbon is definitely upfront but there is enough complexity in the bourbon and base beer for the final product to be pleasing and worth seeking out !
