1st batch, 2009. Pours a rich brown with a thin mocha head. Aroma of bourbon oak and vanilla. Taste follows, smooth. Aging has done this well! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma of roasty sugar, bourbon, vanilla and oak. Pours brown with a nice blanket. Taste us sweet with caramel, slight mocha, and molasses. Thin in color but thick in sugar. Great stuff.

Bottle care of Bruce at his B’day.Dark brown, murky, tan head. Nose is lots and lots of vanilla, lots and lots of lactic milkiness, creamy, oaky, old wood, bourbon sweetness. Taste is very soft. Creamy, lactic, milky, vanilla, bourbon sweet and sourness. Mainly just soft sweetness and lots of vanilla and creaminess. It’s not overwhelming like some bourbon aged stuff but it is sweet.

kiefdog (1826) - Tampa, Florida, USA - AUG 2, 2009
Bottle from CCB Big Sound Release Party. Pours a muddy dark brown to black with a massive tan creamy head that settles slowly. Aroma is sweet and malty with subtle bourbon notes and other notes of vanilla, carmel, toffee, ripe dark fruit, some hints of toffee and wood. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of bourbon, vanilla, wood, caramel, toffee, chocolate, some hints of a light nuttiness. Generally medium body with a pleasing malty, light bourbon finish. Bourbon definitely does not overpower this beer but complements all the great flavors lurking about.

ampled at DLD 2014. Thanks guy! This was the better of the Cigar City brews I had that day. Muddy brown color with no head. Aroma of bourbon, oak, caramel, chocolate and cherry. Chocolatey and toffee/caramel flavor to start with vanilla and oak before a bourbon and chocolate finish. Really good stuff.

Extraordinary!! On tap at the Winter Warmer 2012, this pours mahogany with a thin tan ring of suds. The sweet bouquet is of oak, vanilla, whiskey, toffee and caramel. The ABV is almost inconsequential, with such a silky palate. Just gorgeous, truly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2009 Bottle sample at Noogfest High 5 thanks to jcwattsrugger. Poured brown with a tan head that settles to a ring. Nice scotch aroma with a vanilla and toffee. The flavor also found vanilla and scotch with a nut and malt background. Medium body, slight alcohol warming, creamy smooth. Awesome!
