Some chocolate feel with a heavier feel. Pretty tasty scotch that finishes easy. SuzyGreenberg (1368), Seattle, Washington, USA

First impression of the nose is worrisome: metal and grapefruit, isovaleric acid once again. A little aeration and swirling and oxygenating in the glass and the iso acid character mostly disappears from the nose and seems completely gone flavor-wise. Malt structure is firm and full but also somewhat syrupy. Hop presence is minimal. Toffee and scotch-flavored malts get better as the glass warms and my palate acclimates. Good stuff all around, a little worrisome at the beginning but I can see why this one gets so much praise. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Clear very dark amber brown with little head. Flavor has big roastyness with chocolate and moderate grain astringency. Finish is malty with moderate residual bitterness. It’s a swirling cacophony of toffee, coffee and autumn spices. It is full bodied beer with a smooth and mellow after taste KAggie97 (2434), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA

Pours a deep mahogany with an autumn spice (nutmeg, pumpkin, cinammon) chunk soaked in peat syrup. Flavor is full, bragging peat sugar, peat syrup, and peat-soaked malt. Thick, gooey, slick, and oily mouthfeel. A very assertive yet approachable scotch ale. Definite repeat. Kinz (2205), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA

Big molasses and toffee aroma. Flavor is dark fruit, more massive molasses malts, toffee, faint chocolate. Big, complex, rich flavor. Really nice.
