Poured 12oz bottle into my Cigar City Snifter, thanks for both Adam.
Lots of carbonation, DAMN! Took a minute to settle and has a nice cinnamon looking swirl head. A very dark porter, looks almost like a lighter stout. Some good lacing on the glass as well.
Getting some smoke, alcohol maybe burnt coffee and malt.
Same as smell, smoke, burnt coffee/toffee? and malts. Has an alcohol bite. Char too, it has that classic cigar city smoke/char after taste similar to Zhukov and Hunahpus, love it. Definitely tasting it more as the beer warms.
Prickly carbonation and very mouth coating.
I like this beer for what it is, nothing too special but it is nice for sure.

Bottle thanks to johndoe8 on BA. Dark brown, nearly black, in color with a small tan head. Roasty and smoky aroma with dark fruits and anise. The flavor has the typical Cigar City ashiness along with sweet dark fruit notes, caramel, spice, and anise. Medium-plus body with average carbonation. Great beer.

Tap at Kickback’s in Jax, FL. The pour is a deep maroon looking black topped by an excellent, beige head. Creamy, nice lace. Nose is fairly odd- very candy and sugar forward like excessive burnt caramel, molasses, and cloying maple sweetness. Taste is bitter, very dry, small lemon tartness, overly attenuated for style. Chalky in palate. Syrupy caramel and sweet cherry clash with chalk and citric tartness. What the hell is going on here?
