Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Beerlando. Pours a cloudy and opaque brown with an orange hue and a small off-white head. Sweet roast and burned caramel in the nose with a perfumy hop impression. Solid body, roasted malts and perfumy hops. Somewhat biscuity and toffeeish. Warming alcohol finish. Could’ve needed a little more hops for balance - gets a little sticky. 171210

Bottled. Hazy dark brown, small head. Funky brett aroma. Mid sweet with some chocolate and caramel, clean rounded mouthfeel. Funky brett and alcohol are much more prominent than roasty malt. An unusual strong ale. Is the brett even intended?

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - JUL 8, 2011
Brown color, cloudy, with creamy head. Strong aroma of chocolate, some malt, roasted nuts, and light dust. It has a good body strength, full mouthfeel, with strong chocolate flavor, some dark caramel, and average residual sweetness; a mild flavor of liquorice was unexpected; the bitterness is quite strong but well integrated. Overall it’s a powerful but well balanced beer. Nice, fat American Strong Ale.
