Really hoppy for a brown. If I was not looking at the beer when I tasted it, I might have guessed IPA. Sweet fruitiness, grapes, citrus. Not much earthiness.

Tap at Cervezas, Miami. It pours cloudy deep brown, with a thick beige head. The nose is roasted malt, coffee, nut and charcoal. The taste is roasted malt, charcoal, leather, coffee, high bitterness, bitter chocolate, smoke and nut, with a long dry finish. Medium body and high, prickly carbonation. A solid beer, but pretty damn dry.

On draft at Tryst in Delray. This was a very typical brown ale. Nutty aromas with subtle dry chocolate flavors. Nothing over the top or crazy going on here, just a good staple for this style.

Draft at the brewery. Hazy brown pour with a thick off white/tan head. Burnt caramel malt and noble hop aroma. Dry malt body with a big earthy hop bitterness. Nice session ale.
