Bottle thanks to Cal. Pours a very dark brown with a huge tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong roast, chocolate, faint coffee. Medium mouthfeel with a very sweet roast, dark chocolate, and light bitterness. Good.

Courtesy of Kraddel. Thanks! 750 ml. bottle split by 2 @ Barely legal tasting room. Pours black with a huge tanned head. Smells lactic with fermenting red grapes, milky, brown sugar, this doesn’t feel right to me. Tastes lactic with vanilla sugar, fermenting red grapes, sweet chocolate mouse, fermenting, roasted coffee. This feels partially nice & partially something seems really off here. Body feels like 6 % ABV. Mmmm, not sure if this is supposed to taste like this.

(Batch 1) Draft... This beer rocks!… Pitch black pour with a creamy, mid-sized, beige head. The aromatic highlights are blackberries, blueberries, burnt mocha and caramel. Full-bodied and creamy with tingly carbonation. The flavor furnishes a boatload of deep-roasted, acrid espresso, accompanied by an equally huge component of dark chocolate. Finishes burnt and carbonic, followed by a kiss of caramel. World class effort from the boys at the Brewpub!

Pours a deep umber color with a finger of khaki foam. Nose is big sweet bubblegum flavors with hints of chocolate roast and artificial instant coffee. Palate follows with big necco wafers, bubblegum and cotton candy sweetness that covers any of the roasty coffee notes that I was expecting to lead the way. Drainpour for this one. Yuck.

750 received in trade... pours a sorta thin looking black with a flimsy dark tan head... nose is big coffee as expected... a bit abrasive.. flavor is only a little better.. one dimensional without ever showing anything other than bitter coffee and no nuance.. seems like this could be an old bottle... not sure.. but I am not impressed with this one.
