Bottle from Eric - thanks! Dark brown pour with a beige head. Lots going on here - squash, rye, bittersweet chocolate. Smooth fuller palate. Kind of a mess but still good.

@ The Lets do a Chris O tasting. Pours dark brown almost black. A bit of chocolate on the nose and some vegetable notes. The squash, pumpkin comes through on the taste ok, quite nice.

Bmillsy share. Older bottle from October, its now March.... aroma minty, smoke, sour, chocolate? Tastes like burnt shoe. Maybe next season. This is sad as i am a huge pumpkin fan. Looked pretty

Big bottle from the brewpub that's been sitting in my fridge since it was released. Finally pulling the trigger. Pours thick and syrupy black with a small dark brown head on top. Aroma is, well, chocolate covered broccoli and other vegetables with not much spice presence, a bit of smoke. Weird. Aaaaand the flavor. Oh my lord. Rotting metallic burnt shoe with a little extra smoke and leafy green bitterness. What the hell? Thick bodied with low carbonation. This is exceedingly awful and not that old (stayed in the fridge, too). Goodness this is bad.

Pour from bottle. Dark with a nice tan head. Aroma is strong with nutmeg. Taste has a dry bitter feel but is strong with chocolate and raspberry. Tastes like a good beef jerky.

Darkest brown, oily tan head. Uncomfortable amount of nutmegginess on the nose, tort spiciness and louche sweet earthiness. Ness. On contrast the initial taste is soft, powdered choc and aspiring bitterness. Little bit flatter and thinner than a vibrant nose suggests, lightest soapiness. Dirty straw dryness, fragmented pulse mulch. Not fantastic by any means.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of spice, dark chocolate. Taste is more of the same, with some earthy notes. Nice, but nae squash.

Bottle. Black with tan head. Aroma is quite heavy on the spices, lots of nutmeg. Taste has strong chocolate amd roast while the spices take a back seat. Medium body. Quite nice.
