4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tampa, Fl - on tap at the brewpub. Murky, dark brown pour, off-white thick head, nice thick lacing. Aroma of toffee, caramel and molasses. Flavor is nutty with some nice caramel accents, a hint of molasses, some toffee notes and a nice solid lingering pipe tobacco finish. Thick, rich creamy mouthfeel. Excellent companion to my Cuban Sandwich.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at brewpub. Pour is deep brown with a thin tan head. Aroma has notes of caramel, brown sugar, nuts, and roasted chocolate. Flavor is on the sweet side, but subdued compared the the aroma, notes of hazelnut and molasses. Viscous texture for an ABV of less than 6%, I could drink a lot of these.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draft at brewery, poured a dark brown color with aromas of toast, light caramel, some light nuts, and a touch of roast. Flavors are the same with some light brown sugar in the aftertaste. A solid brown ale that should be the standard.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap @ Cigar City Brewpub... Poured dark, near black with a gray-ish off-white head. Nice retention. Good amount of ash and charred grains here. Bitter-sweet molasses with the toasted almonds adding a good amount of flavor. Pretty dense and complex for a brown, not exactly to the style but darn delicious anyway.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The aroma is robust roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, molasses. The appearance is dark brown with no head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is smooth but not super carbonated. Overall this is a very good brown ale.
