Bottle at Dangerous Bottleshares WLZBRZ edition. Pours black with an espresso-colored head. Aroma has lots of fresh ground coffee dark dried fruits, dark rich chocolate, big roasted malt-profile and some weak vanilla. Smells great! The taste has vanilla, chocolate, nice coffee, dark dried fruits, roasted malts and some salty caramel. Just smooth and well made imperial stout that you just wanna drink all the time. Another hit from CCB and one of the best non-barrel aged imperial stout I have ever tasted. Balance and elegance.

Bottle thanks to Sean. Pours a wonderful black hue with a medium creamy dark brown head. A big sweet nose of coffee. The flavor is huge milky sweet coffee, cacao, some heavy roast, the metallic roast base does well with so much sweet coffee. Finishes big and sweet. The initial flavor is all roast and dark fruit. Lovely. What a wonderful base. I’d love to see this with less coffee. Great body.

Bottle at Dangerous Bottleshares WLZBRZ edition. Pours a pitch black with a big, dark brown espresso head, but fairly short lasting. Aroma is very roasty, roasty malts, lots of nice coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate, dark caramel. Taste is roasty bitter, but with a nice caramel sweetness. After taste is sweet, dark caramel, oily, untill the far end, which is just dry, roasty coffee all over! Full sticky body, medium low carbonation. Wow, this is great!

Pours easily from the bottle, little to no carbonation, very slick. Toffee, coffee on the nose with deeper vanilla as it warms. Deep coffee flavor with imperial chocolate bitterness on the back end. Mellow enough that it’s hard to believe it’s a double stout!

Enjoyed on draft at the Three Floyds brewpub during the Florida Man Loses Bet tap takeover by Cigar City on November 2. The pour is dark black with a soapy ring of khaki colored head and a little lace on the glass. The aroma is strong coffee. All coffee with a little lactose and some light chocolate and butter toast notes. I love the coffee and the light mocha. The flavor is great. Bitter coffee roast up front with a light chocolate mocha on the back end. It’s not complex. But the few notes are huge. The mouth feel is thick and viscous with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly bitter chocolate coffee finish. It’s great! I can only imagine what the rum barrel aging would do to this baby. Damn good beer
