Enjoyed on draft at the Three Floyds brewpub during the Florida Man Loses Bet tap takeover by Cigar City on November 2. The pour is dark black with a soapy ring of khaki colored head and a little lace on the glass. The aroma is strong coffee. All coffee with a little lactose and some light chocolate and butter toast notes. I love the coffee and the light mocha. The flavor is great. Bitter coffee roast up front with a light chocolate mocha on the back end. It’s not complex. But the few notes are huge. The mouth feel is thick and viscous with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly bitter chocolate coffee finish. It’s great! I can only imagine what the rum barrel aging would do to this baby. Damn good beer

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2015 Large shared bottle pours near black and opaque with a very durable light brown head. Moderate coffee aroma and flavor. Bitter-sweet with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Very thick, full body that’s nearly chewy. Good carbonation level.

Bottle @ Pre-Borefts Tasting, courtesy of the European Crew! Pours a pitch black beer with a small brownish head on top. Aroma of slight roast, massive coffee, some vanilla and molasses. Flavor is sweet and boozy with loads of coffee overall. Very intense and rich flavors, long lasting, bittersweet finish with coffee and vanilla. Nice one!
