Growler with huge thanks! Pours opaque black with a deep brown creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma is coffee, roasty, anise, molasses, cocoa, tobacco. Flavor is the same, light to medium sweet, medium bitter, nowhere near as sweet as other CCB impys. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, which is typical of CCB impys. Wonderful beer.

Growler from bytemesis, big thanks. Completely black, lots if brown foam initially but it leaves quickly. Good lacing. Molasses, coffee, dark chocolate in the nose. Huge bitter coffee and chocolate flavors, molasses too. Exceptional beer, the bitterness of the coffee works very well to balance the sweet malt.

Draft at Proof. Inky black pour with a small brown head. Deep rich, velvety chocolate, blooming coffee, vanilla cream and rich malted roast. Thick, chewy body with flavors that mimic the nose. So fucking good.

Pours a thick black on tap with bubbly thick brown head that leaves light lace. Aroma is heavy coffee and roasted malt, then hints of dark chocolate and vanilla. Taste follows, thick and chewy, with a dry finish. Very nice beer. Thanks to the FL Tap Invitational for having it.

Growler from Daknole, man what a great guy. This one is almost black and has a chocolate brown head. I certainly get the coffee and chocolate. Smells amazing. Sweet and delicious.

Tap at Florida beer invitational! Black pour no head tan ring. Aroma of roasted grain and coffee. Slight sweet notes and bitter chocolate. Taste similar with chalky texture. Big beer but balanced.

On tap at Coffee District, Delray Beach, Fla, pours a rich dark black color with a small head. Nose is roasted malt. Taste is rich in deep bittersweet chocolate ( like a piece melting in your mouth ) with strong espresso notes. Nothing but flavor and taste. Finish is bitter sweet and longs for another sip. Thanks CCB..quaff score 9 / 10

Growler, thanks Seth! Glugs out of the bottle with a motor oil-esque consistency. Big, black body tarnishes my glass a la Zhukov.

Hugely roasty malts, coffee, and chocolate pummel the nose and make their way to my palate. Tastes like liquid, bittersweet chocolate. Damn, that is good.

Massively viscous body delivers toffee and caramel alongside the baker’s chocolate. Full coating of my mouth with each sip. Minimal bite; virtually zero boozy warmth at the end. Probably wise that I shared this with about a dozen people because otherwise it would’ve all gone straight to the dome. MOAR!
