Draft @ Freshcraft, Denver, CO. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty strong coffee aroma with hints of vanilla. Roasted malty coffee and chocolate flavor with hints of vanilla. Has a roasted malty coffee bitter chocolate and vanilla finish.

Growler shared at The Bruery - big thanks to Sam! Pours oily, black-brown with a thick, brown foam head. Heavy coffee on the nose with secondary notes of dark chocolate and tangy wood. Medium sweet flavor with more dense coffee, chocolate syrup, bittersweet baking cocoa, chocolate cake. Full bodied with fine carbonation and chewy texture. Rich dark chocolate character to finish with more hefty coffee, dirt and chocolate cake. Robust and decadent but still balanced and exceedingly tasty.

Growler @ The Bruery, shared by Sam. Black pour with a small tan head. Really spicy coffee aroma, lots of roast, vanilla, and fudge. Brown sugar, licorice, plenty of lactose, and a slight nuttiness. Flavor is quite sweet and creamy. Lactose, coffee, and toasted nuts. Fudge, brown sugar, and roasted malt. Slight ash and acidity on the finish.

Nitro... Pours pitch-black with a small, creamy, beige head. Stubborn retention. The aroma is a swirl of espresso, fudge, caramel and toasted nuts – pistachios and almonds. Full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and pillow-soft carbonation. The flavor is akin to a huge cup of cafe con leche and it’s every bit as sweet as dulce de leche. Finishes roasty and sticky-sweet. Even for a major malt-head like me, this is too sweet to drink more than one snifter. Enjoyability is high. Drinkability is low.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2013 Holy shit!! Dark brown pour with a bad ass brown head. Coffee, chocolate, espresso, lactose sweetness, roasty. This is a stunner!

Flip-top CCB growler thanks to NoSignsOfPain! Typical CCB stout pour- pure ink with low Martian foam. Nose is apple sauce, soy sauce, some dense hazelnut coffee peaks out. More of a savory nose that sort of works. Taste is pretty solid- dense and powerful coffee stout with a mega lactose sugar finish. Coating mouthfeel. Nice hop balance and lacking the typical CCB coffee lemon acid extraction problem. Still, too much soy and apple to be outstanding.

Pour from a growler shared by umr_urgefan- thanks again, Paul! Pours a deep brown, not quite opaque, with no head. Aroma of coffee, cacao nibs, roast, molasses, and earth. Flavor of coffee, chocolate, fudge, and molasses. Medium-bodied, with low carbonation and a dry, chocolaty mouthfeel. Has a somewhat gritty texture, as well, that really emphasizes the coffee beans here. Nice imperial stout.

9/13/13. On tap at the brewery, nitro. Deep black pour, big brown head, full lacing. Rich aroma, huge milk chocolate, some roast, coffee, and lingering sweetness. Big rich sweetness in the flavor, lots of milk chocolate, just enough roasty coffee and ashy malts to balance. Nice.
