Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, fruity, vanilla, pepper notes. Flavor is light heavy chocolate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, light peppery chili bourbon finish. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20100206]

Tasting at Papsø
Dark mahogany color; small creamy head. Nice combination of caramel aroma and vanilla oak, whiskey, wood, light smoke; dynamic. The body is well structured; strong caramel flavor, quite sweet, with a very pleasant whiskey-Bourbon-vanilla component, and chocolate in the end; the whiskey also leaves an evident alcohol trace. Correct bitterness, the final has A bit alcoholic, but very good.

Deep mahogany with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with burned malt, dark chocolate, hops, bourbon, wood and vanilla. Sweet flavour with burned malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, wood and bourbon. Finished sweet and full. Harmonic. Nice one.

Bottle @ Papsø. Thanks. Pours dark unclear brown with a small off white head. Nose is deep and vinous. Oak, caramel, prune, vanilla and liquorice. Nice. Smooth, deep, vinous and sticky flavor and palate. A bit of alcohol in the back. One complex and delicious beer!
