COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fergus Mor: the legendary king of Dal Riata was the founder of Scotland according to Medieval and Renaissance myth. Rulers of Scotland throughout its history have claimed descent from Fergus Mor. A fitting name for this, the first beer in the Campeador series, a barrel aged collaboration of Cigar City Brewing and Knightly Spirits. Fergus Mor is a blend of Big Sound Scotch Ale and Bolita Brown Ale, topped off with a wee bit of Imperial Stout and aged in a Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel. Limited release of 204 - 750ml bottles.

Huge thanks to SoLan for hooking me up with one of these from his personal stash. Guys generosity knows no bounds, and Antoine Walker would be proud. Bottle number 96 of 204 bottles. Pours a dark brown color, with a light brown head. Smells of huge rich matl, toffee, caramel, bourbon, and scotch notes. Really dug that nose. Flavors were big on the vanilla and toffee, with the scotch and bourbon notes and alcohol hints really show up in the finish and the heat lingers in the aftertaste. Graha crackers and chocolate cream are also evident. really great blend of flavor and heat. Big and bold, I like it. SoLan for Heisman.

Bottle during RBWG 2013. Brown pour with a small khaki head. Rich BA aroma with tons of nuttiness, vanilla, wood, sweet caramels, and a touch of oxidation and apples perhaps. Flavor follows suit. Really glad to try it!

Appley boozy and tart on the nose. Acethleydeheydeydacetheydle or however you spell that shit. Super green apple sweetness. BRown sugar, and maple. Murky dark brown pour, beige ring, no lace, good legs. Scotch aley flavors, toffee, caramel and green apple, light peat, chocolate bourbon vanilla. Still green appley, light roast earthy bitterness and a touch of roast. Lingering sugary sweetnss. Smooth very full bodied.

Dark brown pour small tan head soapy bubbles. A touch of cedar and tobacco was my first thought. Huge syrup sweetness lots of brown sugar. Well coated lightly sticky palate. Sweet brown sugars caramel a touch of dry wood in the finish. Very good warm finish great in small doses as the huge sweetness really ads up.

Bottle shared at RBWG thanks to drowland! Pours a dark reddish brown with thin off white head and light lacing. Aromas of dark fruits, roasted dark malt, light booze, vanilla, brown sugar, and nuts. Taste follows, like a bourbon barrel aged version of a nut brown, but a hint more booze and dark fruits. This is awesome, can’t believe I was able to try this.

Bottle at RBWG 2013 Grand Tasting. Pours clear brown with a fine, creamy beige head. Rich, sugary malts on the nose, slight oxidation, toffee, dried fruits. Big sweet flavor, heavy bread, caramel, dates, raisins. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, lots of sugary, ripe fruits, bread, light bitter leaves, toffee. Good stuff.

Bottle. Opaque dark brown liquid with small to medium light brown head. Aroma of sweet dried fruit, chocolate, bourbon, liquor, biscuit, port and light vanilla. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of dark fruit, chocolate. A bit bland. Full bodied with low carbonation. Very thick. Nice but too laid back taste.
