75 cl. bottle sampled @ GBF 2013. Courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Thx! Yellow wax. Apparently limited to 240 bottles. Min. 12 months old. Pours a very dark brown going to black with a beige head. Smell is very sweet booze, light bourbon, sticky brown sugar, caramel, sticky, thick chocolate, lots of wood vanilla, thick cocoa, almost touch of dark fruits,… Taste is thick brown sugar, creamy milk chocolate, reminds me a bit of a milk stout, high quality brandy-like alcohol, bourbon, lots of wood vanilla, creamy chocolate, sweet, sweet coffee,… Quite creamy, touch less carb. Very easy to drink which sadly made me go very quickly through my portion. Mmm so yummy.

On tap at CCB. Pours a deep deep brown. Nose is roasty, semi sweet malts, hints of cocoa and licorice. Flavor is roasty, hints of booze, slight smoke, chocolate and coffee. Great beer. My favorite campeador yet due to the fact that it isn’t all whiskey like other versions.

In bottle, thanks Craig! Pours a black colour with a lacy tan head. A fantastic aroma of coconut, pineapple, liquorice, roasty malt, dark chocolate and a little lactose. Similar flavours with just a touch of lemon and a little mustiness also. The balance between roasty malt and sour mustiness is incredible. Lingering coconut and pineapple again. Mild carbonation with light CO2 prickle and an oily mouth-feel. Superb!

9/24/11. On tap at BA Hunahpu. Very dark brown pour with almost no tan head. Interesting aroma - sweet, dark fruits with vanilla and caramel, like a barleywine, but paired with some dark roast as well. Sweet flavor with dark fruits, brown sugar, vanilla, a touch of tartness, and lingering dry roast. Very nice!

750ml courtesy of thecheeseman. Bottle 207/240. The oatmeal and chocolate on the nose was very good. Black body good head wand some decent lace. The thick oatmeal presence along with the coco stood out the most with some boose in the mix. With the alcohol presence still easy on the palate. Good brew thanks was worth the wait.
