Bourbon vanilla, coconut, caramel and toffee on the nose. A little earth. Brown amnber pour, murky with no head. Flavor is earthy and dry up front with a good dose of bourbon, balanced earth a little pepper and peat. Nice blend, but body too thin. Good flavor.

Traded 2009, batch 3 bottle, #326/480. Holy carbonation Batman. This twice snaked out of the 12oz bottle and built huge foam in the glass. Aside from that, tons of bourbon,,,which I like. Surprisingly light mouthfeel. Good.

(Bottle) Pours brown with a small head. The aroma holds caramelly and cookie-like notes from the malt alongside overripe fruits and soft alcohol-driven bourbon. The flavour is light to medium sweet, medium bitter and light acidic with robust malt, fruits, buttery/fudge-like oak/bourbon as well as a whisper of hops. The mouthfeel is soft and tiny tart with a light carbonation. Woodsy bourbon, complex fruits, complex malt and a dash hop on the finish. Medium bodied.

Botlle 12 oz, tnx to Greg. This one was in a hurry out of the bottle. Pours murky dark mahogany with a small tanned creamy head. Aroma is sweet fruity vanilla bourbon slightly sour dill and a bit boozy. Flavor is sourish malty nutty and acidy in front, bitter buttery vinous and fruity from middle to the end. Finishes dryish bitter yet sweet malty as well. Something might be wrong with this bottle, yet good and drinkable.

Bottle split with Chipalsa. Nose is sour apples, cherries, some walnuts, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, and wood. Complex and rich. Tastes are quite similar with a distinct tart flavor and a good amount of rich fruity esters and bourbon notes. This is nice.

Thanks Jordan, for the ever-so-rare treat. This reminded me of batch 4, except there was a lot more fruit going on. The nose was a tad sour, but very sweet like a caramel apple. Mainly rum-soaked cherries take away the palate with notes of liquor, toffee and stale bread (in a good way). The alcohol wasn’t all that well hidden, and that made for a better beer in my opinion. Cheers!

Cloudy dark red - brown beer. Frothy tan head. Minerally woody vanilla nose. Light airy palate. Fresh tasting beer - breezy dark malt, a little vanilla wood. Spritzy minerals and and a whisper of something sour. Dash of coca cola. Finishes softer bit overall still quite crisp. Unusual and very decent.

Bottle thanks to Ughsmash from our very first trade. A gusher! Pours a murky, very dirty amber with a small off white head. Aroma’s were slight sourness, very nutty, whisky notes, and light peat. Dirty socks comes to mind but not in a bad way. Quite peaty and whisky like in the taste with some heavy nutty malts. Not bad. Seems to be a touch oxidised. Ok but was expecting more

Bottle with James. This one was another gusher like the De Molen. Pours a cloudy brown pour, small head and lacing of off white foam. Palate was creamy and silky smooth. Aromas of nuts, vanilla, bannana bread, bourbon, cinnamon, brown sugar. Taste resembled a sour brown ale with loads of rich bourbon, chocolate, slight pepper in the back end. Further notes of cherry and caramel. Really enjoyed this maker mark aged cigar city.
