The idea behind this series is to tap into fruit drinks popular in Latin culture. Each entry in the series will feature a different fruit and possible blend of others. First up is Guanabana Ale. We made this beer in collaboration with J Wakefield Brewing. This beer is very light but very drinkable and the guanabana is huge.

Tap. No head. Cloudy like cider. Smells fruity like tangerine... tastes like... bitter. This is a beer? Its like a failed cider from a bastardized fruit. Tastes like rind from a citrus fruit. Light.

Draft at CCB. Pours a lightly cloudy orange color with a small white head. Aroma is of sweet citrusy tropical fruits, light grainy notes, and a solid amount of bitterness. Taste is very fruity, tropical fruits, light sweetness, mild grain. The guanabana is apparently what a lot of the tropical fruit hop notes taste like, because this was like a less hoppy IPA, but still with a ton of tropical fruit notes, minus the bitterness. Really awesome beer, favorite of day 1 at CCB.

1 liter growler at RBWG welcome dinner at kickbacks. Thanks for picking this up, Mark. This was interesting, but it just made me sad that JW berliners were not there. I will get to try them very soon though and that does make me happy. Very much so. This was fine, drank even lighter than 5%. Refreshing but did not taste much like beer.

1 gallon growler at RBWG thanks to markwise I think. Pours a glowing, full haze peach. Nose is papaya, guava. Taste is lightly tangy, juicier nectar fruits: peach, papaya. Quenching, pulpy palate. Nice.

pours a hazy yellow with a big white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, citrus and banana. Taste follows, tastes more like watery fruit juice than beer, slightly tart. Not my favorite fruit beer.

Rbwg. Milky yellow super hazy. Fruit punch aroma banana strawberries pineapple. Milky texture dry finish. Fruit is a bit muted but banana strawberry. I love the idea of this series and makes and makes a great replacement for the morning oj.
