Tap. No head. Cloudy like cider. Smells fruity like tangerine... tastes like... bitter. This is a beer? Its like a failed cider from a bastardized fruit. Tastes like rind from a citrus fruit. Light.

Growler during RBWG. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head that diminishes to nothing. Aroma is wheat and fruit. Thin mouthfeel with wheat and very little fruit, bland and watery.

Growler... RBWG 2013... Cloudy light yellow brew with a tiny, fleeting, white head. The aroma features tropical, fruity guanabana, rooty sarsaparilla and licorice, with a cracker malt foundation. Medium-bodied and creamy with lazy carbonation. The flavor is lightly fruity, mildly bitter and bready, but somewhat flat and mundane overall. Crisp, refreshing finish. I’m hoping this series takes a big-time turn toward an acidic Berliner weisse base. I’m looking forward to a Guanabana Florida Weisse at some point.

Brought to RBG in Jax, I thought this was sort of underwhelming considering my love of JW’s beers and my love of low ABV CCB products. Just sorta bland, kinda like a slightly fruited pale ale with little hop presence. I dunno, not seeing anything too remarkable here considering the participants.

Tap at brewery. Pours a hazy murky orange. Ripe tropical fruit aroma with a touch of mustiness. Light tropical fruit taste with earthy hop bite.

Hazy yellowish/gold/orange pour, with a fluffy white head. Aroma of guava, pineapple and a bready note. Very tropical flavor forward, some pineapple, mango, malty, easy drinking. Cool beer and I look forward to the next in the series.

Cigar City Guanabana Ale might not sound like a great beer to purest, but it really is just a well-executed ale. Pours cloudy almost like an unfiltered wheat beer with a fruity nose. Taste is malty with a sweet touch and a fruity aftertaste. Guanabana is a tasty ale with a fruit touch.

On draft at Sybarite Pig. Walked in extremely late looking for a night cap and went with this. It wasn’t really sour or tart like I was hoping but it’s an interesting fruit beer none the less, and plus super drinkable.
