COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The second beer in the Cervezas Frescas Series, a series that specializes in highlighting refreshing fruit drinks popular in Latin countries. This very unique beer was brewed with copious amounts of rice and lactose sugar and finished off with vanilla beans and cinnamon. The result is a 7% ABV refreshing tasty beverage very reminiscent of the popular drink.

Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow on radio worth thin soapy white head that barely laces. Aroma is mild, grainy malt, some spice, lager yeast cleanliness. Taste is more diverse, vanilla sweetness, cinnamon spice, clean rice finish, a hint of booziness. Interesting, didn’t know how it would work, but it does well.

Flight at the brewery. Clear light yellow body with a small white head. Flowers, perfume, soap, marzipan, lavender, almonds.

Pours gold with a thick white head. Nose is sweet and spicy rice pudding, cinnamon and vanilla. Flavor follows suit and is a great representation of a "horchata" beer. Excellent!

Draft at the brewery. Slightly hazy golden pour with a white head. Rice, coconut, vanilla and spiced aroma. Sweet starchy flavor with vanilla beans, coconut spices and graininess. Medium bodied and shockingly resembling horchata. Brings me back to drinking horchata at my favorite taco place as a kid.

Extremely creamy mouthfeel, excellent use of lactose in a non-stout style. Sweet with notes of cinnamon but certainly more heavily tilted towards a sort of vanilla syrup character. Good stuff, interesting, a bit too sweet to be sessionable. Way better than the Guanabana CF in my opinion.

This was an interesting beer. Lots of vanilla and sweet spice on the nose. The taste was full of citrus, cinnamon and was overall pretty sweet. For a higher ABV it drank like a soda. Cheers!

On tap at the brewery. Nose is big vanilla and cinnamon. Caramel and lactose also. Pour is clear orange with a white head. Flavor, again, is big cinnamon and vanilla with some caramel. Not bad at all. For those who haven’t had real horchata, go have some and compare the two. Pretty good job.

Beautiful yellow gold pour with white head. Aroma is musty cinnamon. Taste is cinnamon milk. Incredible.

Tap at the brewery served in a shaker. Light golden pour with a splotchy white film for a head. Barely detectable fragrance of rice and a whisper of cinnamon spice. CCB is known for producing beers that take on the adjunct flavors which comprise their name. That said, the flavor of this I more "beer" than "horchata". It starts off with a distinctive blonde ale flavor with a pear-wheat beginning. The grain transitions seamlessly into a well blended tea of white rice grains, spices, and bittering hops. It’s kind of sweet but neither as sweet nor as spicy as I had expected. Moderately creamy texture. It’s a golden blonde ale with rice malt. If this had a Budweiser label on it, I think ratings would be brutal.
