Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Aaron. Thanks man!! Pour is deep amber with a small tan head and decent lacing. Big bourbon, figs, raisins, caramelly, brown sugar, bread, and nutty aroma. Taste is rich dark fruits, raisins, caramel, candi sugar, sweet malty, bready, and cocoa. Slick mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle @ Steve_0’s house, thanks to markwise for sending. Pours a clear, orangish brown appearance with a thin tan head. Fairly oxidized, caramel, thick toffee, some apple in the nose. Goopy mouth feel. Thick chocolate / toffee hard candy, pear / apple / grape, boozy flavor. Pretty hot finish but still good.

31/XII/13 - 12Fl. Oz. bottle @ home - 2011 vintage - BB: n/a (2013-1210) Thanks to Sebletitje for sharing the bottle!

Little cloudy dark brown beer, aery beige irregular head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: delicious stuff, caramel, vanilla, sugary, alcohol, dried fruits, very complex, fudge. Love it! MF: ok carbon, full body. Taste: there’s cognac all right, pretty sweet, caramel, vanilla, bitter hops, dark chocolate, fudge again. Aftertaste: alcohol, caramel, sugary, bitter hops, sweet, cognac, dark chocolate, more alcohol, little sour note. An amazing beer, love it!

From a 0.75l bottle @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. This is a near clear deep orange one with a small islandy and sidesticking off-white head. Some bourbon on the nose with green coffee beans, some wood, a malty sweetness and some red fruits. Lots of warming bourbon in the taste, but it feels somewhat thin and almost watery in the mouth this. Did not expect that at all for a beer with this caliber. A bit boozy also with a spicy cinnamon touch in the aftertaste. A bit all over the place. 04.05.2013
