Tap flight at the brewery. Pale yellow color that is characteristic for the style. A frothy white head emerges on the pour but recedes quickly. A minute later there is no head, only a fine line of white along the top of the brew at the edge of the glass. Faint apple aroma. Taste is sweet fresh apple. It’s not very hard at all. Juice-like apple finish. Simple, tasty.

Clear yellow pour at CCB. Aromas of sweet and tart apples. Flavor is sweet and lightly crisp, honey, apples. Nice stuff. Very clean and not overly sweet.

CC Cider & Mead Hard Cider is something totally unique. It looks, well, like cider. The aroma and flavor is definitely that Cigar City flair with a cedar hint to it. I?m not a cider fan, but I like the Cigar City take on it!

Smelled like cider tasted like cider. Just a regular ol run of mill good apple cider. Lightly sweet and tasty.

Big thanks to Collin again!! You are too much. Great tasty apple flavors, but I’ve loved apple juice since 1984.

Draft at WOB St. Pete. Clear golden-yellow pour, no head. Aroma of apples and a little kitchen spice. Taste is really just tart, sweet cider, no real complexity to it. Basic hard cider - good but nothing to seek out.

Draft on tap at Cigar City Tap Room (Tampa, FL). Pours a striking golden yellow hue, firm bright glow, transparent body. Some loose bubbles, small whitish head laces small. Aromas are apples, honey, touches of Champagne like dryness assault the nostrils quickly, making me immediately think this might be right up my alley. Gentle honey, earth, bread and green apples give a hint of tartness. Initial is a bit tart, dry, green apple feel. Middle shows some sweetness, gentle honey, applesauce, red apples, and some bready malts. A touch of vanilla, sweeter honey sticks a touch. Backend is mellow earthy herbal feel, sweeter apples, gentle honeycrisp and light honey sweetness. Touch of dryness up front trails off into a mellow sweet finish. I liked the nose and front end, backend loses me a bit, a touch sweet. Solid cider. Peters out a bit for me, nose promising a more dry and touch tart feel but kinda losing it’s way as it presses on.
