3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draft at Cigar City for Fruit in the Room. Pours a dark porter brown with a white-ish head. Nose is slight roast, some chocolate, some spice, but a lot of toasted coconut. Mellow tropical coconut in the nose. Flavor is similar with some chocolate but lots of coconut and a hint of spice. Nice coconutty porter, light in body and finishing with lingering roasted coconut.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured at Fruit in the Room, a dark brown color with little tan head. Aromas of coco, coconut, and malt. Tasted like a regular porter, mainly coco, earth, and malt. The coconut was in there, but way less than I hoped for and expected.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Fruit in the Room 2011. This one had an interesting nose with coconut sweetness mixed with earthy porter tones and some hops and light chocolate. Poured like most porters do - dark with a light brown head. Taste was pretty good but I think the coconut was overshadowed by the malts and hops. Could have benefited from more coconut but still very good and refreshing for a porter.
