Tampa, Fl - Whole Foods - 750 ml capped bottle. Pours a very dark golden with s nice soft white head that leave a bit of lacing. Aroma has some light clove notes, some fresh mowed grass notes.Flavor is very pleasant, some soft spciy notes - saffron comes to mind, a bit of butter, a hint of mint and just a smidgen of citrus. Mouthfeel is silky and creamy, Another solid entry from CCB.

On draft at Cigar City. Pours a typical wheat ale hazy yellow with a big white head. Nose is big hops, wheat, bread, and some citrus with light pepper and citrusy hops. Flavor is similar- hops and plenty in the mild citrus and bread of the wheat ale. Light to medium in body for a style that is usually light in body, and lingering hops in the finish. Nice, refreshing beer.

Bomber. Pours a clear, light orange with a tall frothy white head. Aroma is of grainy malty with orange peel. Taste is light crisp at first with the bitter orange peal most apparent. The grainy wheat shows up next with a very pleasant light maltiness. The sweetness is not sugary at all, but maintains a "yellow grapefruit" pleasantness. The beer finishes with an outstanding hoppiness, bordering on metallic. Carbonation is medium. Texture is water. Body is medium. The progression of tastes across each mouthful leads to a craving for another sip. There is a trend on these sites to rank "big" beers higher than offerings that are lighter. Obviously, this should not be. The beer establishes a unique profile, bringing together the light sweetness of a kolsch, the smoothness of a wit, and the hoppiness of an pale ale. It is interesting and tasty. Good job CCB.

Wonderful hoppiness to this beer. It makes it transcend some of the trappings of blandness and lack of dimension that I find sometimes will hit lesser wheat beers. The presence of Curacao in this adds gorgeous bright citrusy flavors. I think this is a fantastic drinking beer!

This years version pours a dark orange at the bottom of the glass that goes to a lighter version as you go up. Small amount of bright white head is poured. No lacing. Smell is lacking at first, as you let it warm up you get some graininess, wheat, and small amount of orange and grassiness. Nothing huge here. Like with the smell, it took me a while to warm up to this beer. But in the end I wanted more. Small amounts of wheat, grass, bread, and citrus. A nice little hop punch here with bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and very crisp. Goes down great. Works well for what it was probably brewed for, a nice refreshing beer after a bike race. I would enjoy this beer again if I had the chance. Great for a summer day.
