4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours cola color with a 1 finger off white head. Aroma is tons of espresso, good espresso at that. A little sweetness from the base beer comes through as well. Taste is also tons of espresso, with some vanilla, chocolate and roasted malt in the finish. Medium mouthfeel that lingers in your mouth and medium carbonation. This is an excellent improvement on the base beer.

4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Initially sweet and coffee like. More what I expect out of a coffee stout rather than a brown ale. Really great

12oz to snifter. Sweet coffee aroma. Lots of rich coffee and chocolate flavors. Very thin mouth feel. I would like a little more body to match the amazing flavors.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle. Pours a clear, dark brown color with a small off-white head. Aroma is predominately malty with notes of coffee, chocolate powder, caramel, and even some oven-toasted almonds.Taste has soft maltiness with nuttiness, cocoa, and semi-sweet caramel. Ample roasty espresso flavor, too. Earthy, roasty bitterness. Finishes earthy and semi-dry with a lingering hint of caramel and coffee. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle thanks to jbruner. Poured into a mug, thin tan head which disappeared immediately. Aroma of roast malt, coffee grounds and chalk. Bold espresso flavor, a bit on the bitter side, but with some nice vanilla notes on the finish. Faint cacao, more like bakers chocolate, which would lend to the bitterness I pick up. Fairly thin on the palate, but I really like what they did with this brown ale.

Pours brown with a small beige head. Smells of coffee and subtle hints of vanilla. Taste is very similar to iced coffee with hints of chocolate and vanilla. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Cigar City Cubano-Style Espresso Brown Ale finishes with a lingering touch of coffee bitterness.
