Bottled. A hazy dark brown beer with a lazing dark brown beer. The aroma has notes of coffee, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of coffee, chocolate, roasted matl, and a bit of wood, leading to a dry coffee finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a reddish amber with a slight haze and a lacing beige head. The nose has some cabbage at first but then comes the Espresso roast rushing in. Medium body, very roasty with a distinct edge of coffee. Very subtle and short finish with no real hoppiness. 290911

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
29th April 2011
Cloudy brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Dry palate, crispy turning smooth. Fresh coffee dominates, much like an iced espresso. Minerals. Decent coffee beer - full of flavour but not heavy. Just a bit of a one trick pony.

Cask at CCB, courtesy of sebletitje, a.k.a. SeaBass - thanks! My first beer at Cask for a Cause. Very murky and chunky brown, edge head. Aroma of Starbucks. Body is thin, but reasonably well balanced, coffee permeates everything. Decent.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
A: The pour is a dark mahogany color with very little in the way of head; perhaps a thin ring of off-white foam around the glass.
S: The nose is full of rich coffee with a slight sweet creaminess that made it seem like a cream stout, almost. The roasted malt comes through as well and enhances the coffee notes.
T: I’m glad to say the flavor of this one follows the nose. Wonderful roasted malt and coffee flavors with the same sweet cream flavor that has a hint of vanilla to it.
M: The body is medium with a lower level of carbonation which provides a smooth mouthfeel.
D: This is easily the best beer from CCB that I’ve had. Great coffee flavors to go along with the sweetness. I’m very glad to have tried this one.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2014 Med brown, aroma of coffee, little bit of vanilla and some maduro nuttiness. Soft, creamy, lots of coffee kicks in, a little nutty and slightly sweet.
